Dr Emma Soane is an Assistant Professor of Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Emma specialises in researching and teaching personality, leadership, decision making and organisational risk. Having spent three years as program director for the MSc Management and five years as academic director for the CEMS MSc International Management, Emma is focusing on a new research program that examines how individual, group and organisational contexts influence decision processes and organisational risk exposure.
Emma builds on more than 20 years’ experience of research in a wide range of public and private sector organisations to develop theoretical and practical applications.
Emma also teaches organisational behaviour and leadership on the Global MSc Management, the Executive Global MSc Management, and ISE custom programs. Prior to joining LSE, Emma worked at Kingston Business School, London Business School and several NHS trusts. She holds a BSc in psychology from the University of Leicester, and an MSc (occupational psychology) and a PhD (psychology) from the University of Sheffield. She is a Chartered Psychologist and a Chartered Scientist.
