Overview

Address some of the biggest challenges to delivering comprehensive care
With the establishment of the 2nd Edition of the NSQHS Standards, health service providers review their systems and plans for utilising comprehensive care to deliver the highest quality services possible. Despite numerous benefits in developing an integrated approach towards delivering care, there are many challenges in meeting Standard 5. These include developing a comprehensive care plan that meets risk assessment and care standards, engaging patients in the planning process to understand their needs and goals, gathering evidence to demonstrate compliance with the standard and quality end of life care.

The Implementing Comprehensive Care conference will discuss how to develop effective systems and comprehensive care plans, how to engage staff with patients and how to address challenges with end of life and mental health.
