Wendy Flavien is the Chief Integration Officer at Bolton Clarke having joined then in 2012. Prior to this, she held the position of Chief Information Officer at Blue Care. Wendy has over 20 years experience in the health and aged care sectors. Prior to these roles she has worked in the Education, Construction and Building sectors in roles encompassing technology and information.

Having been raised and educated in his native Italy, Giovanni completed his postgraduate studies in Engineering Management at the Unimore University in Reggio Emilia. Self-taught in English he began his global career managing IT and logistics projects in the UK, US, Norway and Algeria. Keen for greater experience, Giovanni made his way to Australia in 2011 where he found his passion in the Aged Care sector, delivering innovative solutions designed to improve quality of care in Aged Care organisations around the country. During this time, he completed a health informatics certification and was awarded a Master in Business Administration at Deakin University.
Giovanni’s personal aim is to empower as many people as possible to fulfil their own potential – owning and running Home Instead Senior Care Geelong allows him to achieve just that.
Dr. Rosy Walia has a Doctorate in Social Science and over 20 years senior management experience in the health and community sector. For the last 11 years Dr Rosy Walia has held the position of CEO with Multicultural Care, a leading provider of culturally tailored services for older people and people with disability. Prior to this, Dr Rosy Walia championed quality management in the community and health care sectors as State Manager NSW/ ACT within a leading National accrediting body.
Dr Rosy Walia is a recipient of the prestigious Cultural Diversity Scholarship at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is passionate about the not for profit sector and has held numerous Board and committee positions within this sector.
As a recognised authority in the delivery of multicultural services, Dr Rosy Walia is regularly consulted on Government policy and program design. In recent years she has participated in the following processes, by invitation:

- Department of Health review of My Aged Care workforce training on working with CALD communities

- Providers Roundtable on the scope of the Terms of Reference for the Royal Commission into Safety and Quality of Aged Care .
For the last 8 years, Dr Rosy Walia has been an active member of the Community Care Advisory Committee of Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) the peak body for not-for-profit aged care services.
John Vohradsky has over 35 years’ experience as an IT professional, with the last 20 years as a CIO working within the Financial Services and Aged Care sectors. Currently working at IRT Group, one of Australia’s largest community based Residential Aged Care, Retirement Village and Home Care providers. Previously to IRT, John was the CIO at the NSW Government Superannuation Administration Corporation where he had direct executive oversight of $87 Billion in funds under management for over 1.1 Million Australian superannuation members. John is currently the Chairman of the Board of the Illawarra Regional Information Service (IRIS) and also a board member of the Bendigo Community Bank within the Illawarra region. Today John is going to share with us a behind the scenes look at how IRT Group has Transformed Aged Care through the use of Technology and Innovation.
Yvonne, originally from the UK, is a professional whose career has spanned several commercial and NFP companies. With a background in Governance, Change Management and Senior Leadership she has held senior positions in the aged care, mental health and disability sectors. She is a values driven professional with a strong focus on strategy and technology.
Yvonne holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is an associate of Governance Institute of Australia Ltd and an associate of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. Yvonne has held positions on numerous NFP boards and worked with the Special Olympics Committee in Australia.
Bringing more than 30 years IT experience within Financial Services, Profit for Purpose and more recently the Not for Profit Aged Care sector has provided a depth of knowledge across a wide range of technology roles at a senior management level. With wide-ranging experience in delivering strategic initiatives, building engagement, driving change, project governance and developing amazing high performing teams with proven capability in leading and supporting people through challenging times of change. With current focus on delivering strategically imperative business improvement initiatives, introducing project management framework as well as project governance by way of a “virtual PMO”, my role as Program Manager within Amana Living is multi-faceted with an overarching education and mentoring role aimed at increasing project delivery capability that supports client centric outcomes.

Within his role, he uses his strengths in strategic project management, digital marketing, and innovation management to establish a more collaborative, improvised and meaningful digital landscape for HNG.

Steven has over 25 years working in the Information Technology sector, with a vast experience working for multinational companies. Has demonstrated abilities in the Digital cloud and social web spaces to create effective strategies and actions in the delivery of critical services to transform operations with outstanding business results.
Steven more recently has been leading transformational projects at Thomas Holt such as the first smart building for Residential Aged Care in Australia.
Steven is a passionate leader with a strong focus in business alignment, partner collaboration and team building in aged care. Is also a regular speaker and presenter for many aged care conferences.
Dean has over 30 years’ experience working in healthcare within Australia and internationally. Dean is Manager Quality and Innovation for Mayflower Group based in Melbourne, Victoria.
Dean is a registered nurse who has a passion for aged care and providing systems to benefit residents and streamline systems. Dean commenced his aged care career working as a personal care attendant which ignited a lifelong passion for person centred care and innovation. Upon completion of his nursing studies Dean specialized in neuroscience nursing and healthcare quality systems.
Dean relocated to Jakarta Indonesia for a four-year period and worked within the clinical, management, and quality areas assisting hospitals to implement robust systems to attain accreditation. During this time Dean assisted the University of Indonesia to establish its inaugural Neuroscience Nursing Program.
Dean has completed a Master of Nursing (Nursing Management) with his final project reviewing and critiquing the establishment of quality systems in the residential aged care sector. Dean is also a registered aged care quality surveyor with the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency.
Over the course of his career Dean has been spearheaded 7 Better Practice awards and multiple accreditations within the residential aged care sector. Dean was appointed a Clinical Fellow at Australian Catholic University 2009-2012.
James Milson Village
Nadeem currently works as an Information and communication manager at James Milson Village.
He provides guidance and high level strategic technical advice to board members on various IT initiatives while also providing input on long and medium term decisions concerning the organisation’s strategy and direction. Nadeem provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust, and secure information technology environment throughout the village and work with various vendors to achieve the organisations goals.
Prior to joining James Milson Village, Nadeem spent over 12 years in the IT industry. He has a Masters in network and system administration and has completed certifications in CCNA, CCNA (Voice), MCP, MCSE, MCSA, MSTS & ITIL v3 Certified.
George Lymbers, is a ICT professional who is a passionate Technology Evangelist who has used his considerable operational and technology expertise to bring about disruptive, innovative transformation. He has been recognised as an innovative CIO by being selected in the CIO Magazine’s 2017 Top 50 CIO’s and the CEO Magazine’s Top 4 CIO’s in Australia for 2017. Recently he has been asked to speak at International events hosted by leading Technology and Aged Care Organisations. As an influencer he has driven the direction of Technology by delivering Innovative projects for transforming the businesses of Aged Care Organisations such as Thomas Holt and other blue chip NFP organisations. He has spent over 20 years in senior management and change roles, where he used his know how and experience to constantly push out the boundaries of technology by never being satisfied with the new normal. He brought this depth of experience into the NFP world developed while working with large blue chip international companies like KPMG, IBM, EDS(HP), CBA, Westpac, Citibank and AMEX.
Jess Johnson is the Account Director for MDF Group’s Health and Aging division. With a background in Actuarial Studies, Jess brings numerical and risk analysis skills to MDF’s extensive experience in Project Management and maintenance of the built environment. Jess is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has been working with MDF Group for 8 years. MDF Group provides accredited building and maintenance services to Aged Care Facilities across Australia.
Stephen is the Information Technology and Communications Manager at the Greengate Group, where he has been for the past 4 years. Greengate Designs, Builds and operates Aged Care and Retirement Living Villages across NSW and Qld, currently operating 3 villages with others either underway or in design. Stephen is responsible for designing, implementing and operating the Greengate IT strategy across its properties and prior to Greengate spent most of his working life in IT in Marketing, Sales, Management, Operations and Finance. In addition, Stephen has owned and run his own businesses on 2 separate occasions across mobile phones and Music.
