Alicia Aitken is also the chairperson for the International Centre for Complex Project Management (ICCPM). She holds a PhD in project management and psychology with a particular focus on how project managers cope with stress and a bachelor of business.
Dr Fida has over 17 years’ experience developing small molecules and biological products, from early development through to registration in both the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. At CSL, she leads the early stage development program working with global teams to develop antibodies targeting diseases with unmet needs.
Previously, Dr Fida worked at Cytopia Research to develop new oncology drugs to treat solid tumours and haematological cancers including Cytopia’s JAK-kinase inhibitor, momelotinib, which recently completed Phase III clinical trials.
Prior to Cytopia, she was involved in developing and registering oncology products at Hospira including docetaxel, oxaliplatin and gemcitabine.

Andrew thinks of himself as an information technology practitioner in professional services. His objective is to make IT relevant to and for his organisation. He has worked in consulting and management/Chief Information Officer roles in his career.
He has 20 years’ experience in ICT project and program management and business programs, including framing, overseeing and enhancing the entire ICT capital program and PMO at organisations such as DFSI and the University of Sydney. He has created and led multidisciplinary teams, both within ICT and outside of ICT context, to deliver impactful operational and strategic outcomes, including implements the recommendations of a major health and medical research strategic review, to establish large-scale multi-disciplinary research and education collaborations
His current role leads ICT project management across the DFSI cluster, which supports sustainable government finances, major public works and maintenance programs, government procurement, information and communications technology, consumer protection, administration of State taxation and revenue collection, and NSW land and property administration.

Jan Rice is currently the Manager, Program Management Office at Eastern Health. She has extensive experience within the Health Care environment which initially began as a clinical nurse and midwife. Over the past 20 years Jan has worked as a Project Manager and as an improvement specialist supporting teams in the use of Lean methodology to improve efficiency through the reduction in waste and variation. Jan now has the exciting role of establishing the Program Management Office at Eastern Health. Other than spending time with her husband and 3 sons, Jan is kept very busy completing her Professional Doctorate in Public Health.

Matt is the Manager of the Portfolio Management Office for the South Australian Department for Child Protection. This role is central in the implementation of the recommendations made by the 2016 Child Protection Systems Royal Commission in a coordinated approach with the Departments strategic vision, Legislation change and the Governments continued challenge of protecting the states most vulnerable children.
Matt has worked in the reform area for the states statutory child protection agency for the past five years and has over ten years’ experience in project, program and portfolio management across both private and public sector.
Surf Coast Shire
After a decade of working in the private sector, including significant experience in outback and remote Aboriginal communities in Central Australia and northern Queensland, Anne had realized the personal and professional reward of building healthy and prosperous local communities. Initially this was through her work as a Civil Engineer, but this has continued through her Local Government career of 17 years, with 15 years in northern Victoria and the last two years at the Surf Coast Shire.
Anne’s Local Government career has seen her responsible for a range of diverse functions including infrastructure engineering, strategic planning, economic development and tourism, community development, governance, finance and strategic asset management. Anne was also responsible for overseeing the establishment of the Program Office Management at the Shire of Campaspe, where a new approach to program and project management saw delivery of Council’s capital program recognized at a State, National and International stage – no small feat for a rural Council.

Laith Adel is General Manager with EPM Partners in Australia. With a strong background in engineering, project management and information technology, Laith provides consulting (both business and technical), training and management services to customers, helping them to successfully implement and deploy project management solutions within their organisations.
He has worked with Microsoft’s Enterprise Project Management (EPM) product set since its early versions and participated in one of the largest EPM implementation showcases of Project Server 2002 at Emirates Airlines’ IT Company (Mercator).
Laith’s hands on experience comes through his involvement with a number of professional services organisations including Microsoft Consulting Services (MSC) and Strategic Data Management (SDM). He has been involved in many Microsoft EPM solution implementation projects around the world.
Mick is a passionate about delivery and outcome, uplifting capability and creating high performing teams across the Digital space. He has cut his teeth as a developer in the days of punch cards, VAX Vms systems, right through to XML, DOT NET/ASP and to the more recent technologies. His technical background has served him well in transitioning from Development, BA to PM to running a Portfolio which delivers 120+ projects a year across infrastructure, Application support, site fit outs and Digitally focused application development. Versed in Agile, Scrum and Plan Driven Iterative methodologies but only wedded to the outcome and not the approach. Currently exploring more in DevOps and how it can be embedded more into Digital teams with an agile take on it, lending itself to continuous delivery and improvement. Now looking to help take PMO to the next level.
