Nicole Swanson is the Communications and Digital Marketing Manager for the Universities Admissions Centre – otherwise known to every Year 12 student in NSW and the ACT as ‘UAC’. Nicole leads a Marketing team of eight staff in promoting the transformative nature of higher education, and providing applicants, the public and the media with comprehensive information about the ATAR and university admissions. In the 2017/18 admission year, UAC received applications from 82,912 people, and made a total of 115,713 offers to 73,316 individuals. Since taking up the role with UAC in early 2017, Nicole has been responsible for delivering a full rebrand and website transformation, and the first-time digital release of PINs and ATAR notices to almost 60,000 Year 12 students. Prior to coming to UAC, Nicole has worked in a number of senior marketing and communications roles in the education sector including at Western Sydney University, and the NSW Department of Education.
Yashinni Mathiahlagan is the Business Manager, International Marketing, responsible for digital marketing management and the Malaysian market at StudyAdelaide. An international student herself, Yashinni has a B.A. (Communication and Media Management) from the University of South Australia. Since graduating she’s put her life and study experiences to good use and has been integral to the success of several international digital marketing campaigns for StudyAdelaide, including the innovative #MyAdelaide campaign. Now in its second year, #MyAdelaide shares the everyday stories of international students to grow Adelaide’s brand awareness in key overseas markets.
Steven Green is a Senior UX Design Consultant at Insight. He has over 15 years experience in Digital Design and User Experience. Steven takes a user centred design approach to projects through best practice design activities like user research, stakeholder workshops, user interviews, persona and user journey development, wireframing and prototyping, development and user testing.
