Jane has over 15 years experience specialising in forensic accounting, dispute consulting, conducting investigations and fraud and cyber risk consulting. Jane manages Crawford’s cyber incident response solution across Australia & New Zealand. She performs crisis management at the time of identification of a cyber event, assists clients in a forensic accounting capacity to quantify their losses as a result of a cyber event, or acts as the adjuster on a cyber policy claim. Prior to joining Crawford in 2017, Jane was a Principal at a global insurance broker responsible for leading investigations and the preparation of claims for complex fraud and other large value financial losses, and performing fraud and cyber risk consulting for clients across the Asia Pacific region. Jane was previously a Director with a Big 4 accounting firm specialising in the provision of expert and consultative accounting and financial investigation services for clients. She worked in the San Francisco office of that firm on a two year secondment, focussing on disputes and large scale financial investigations working on behalf of clients and at the direction of regulators. Ben is a leading cyber insurance and data privacy expert. He has over 12 years of experience as an admitted solicitor and has practiced in both Australia and the United States. He has end-to-end incident response and cyber insurance experience covering the drafting of cyber insurance wording for carriers, insurance policy placement, managing claims for insurers and managing privacy breaches for insured and uninsured organisations.
Ben has provided triage and strategic advice to numerous domestic and international organisations following suspected data breach events and giving specialist advice on privacy obligations to financial service, medical, insurance, government and information technology clients. He has also conducted post incident reviews and resilience workshops.

David has worked in the professional lines area of insurance since 1995, working for a number of brokers, underwriting agencies and insurers. Joining Liberty in 2008 David spearheaded the launch of Liberty’s Information Technology Liability initiative, and in 2012 he launched Liberty’s Cyber Insurance product. As a portfolio manager for cyber insurance David’s role encompasses setting the cyber strategy and underwriting guidelines, product and rater development, reporting of results, training and development of staff, and marketing. David holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Commerce.
Samuel is an experienced insurance practitioner, with an exclusive focus on cyber and technology risk and insurance for the past 4 years. Most recently he was tasked with heading JLT Australia’s cyber insurance practice as Account Manager and Cyber Insurance Specialist – a position he held from April 2015 up until commencing as a Managing Principal within Marsh’s expanding cyber team in December 2018. Samuel has provided advice on cyber risk and placed customised cyber insurance programs for clients across various industries including professional service firms, financial institutions, retail and hospitality organisations, transport and logistics providers, IT service providers, energy and utility companies and not for profit organisations, including several ASX 100 listed companies.
Stan is a Partner with KPMG Forensic, National Leader of the Australian KPMG Forensic Technology teams. He leads Cyber Incident Response services for KPMG in Australia and co-leads the services internationally providing strategic direction and crisis management in an ever changing technology environment. As a former deep cover police operative, Stan has a unique perspective on all manner of nefarious activities having lived numerous lives including trafficking in narcotics, firearms and electronic data – he has lived these risks. A risk management specialist, Stan combines his unique insights with traditional investigative skills and forensic technology expertise to bring a different perspective to assisting clients in crisis. He has authored technology related articles in a range of publications and has been involved in numerous media appearances, publications and presentations both in Australia and internationally.
Jason is a partner of the Sydney insurance team of HWL Ebsworth Lawyers. For over 12 years he has advised Australian and international insurers and London underwriters in relation to coverage and acted on behalf of insureds in defence of litigated claims.
Jason specialises in financial lines and cyber insurance and has experience in a wide variety of matters involving financial institutions and advisers, accountants and auditors, solicitors and barristers, directors and officers, certifiers and building professionals. He has acted as both defence counsel and monitored litigation on behalf of underwriters. He has advised insureds and insurers in relation to cyber risk, data breach planning and response.
Jason also coordinates the pro bono work of HWL Ebsworth’s Sydney office providing free legal services through various legal clinics. He is admitted as an attorney in New York having successfully completed the New York Bar Exam in 2008. Jason is also a member of the National Committee of the Australian Professional Indemnity Group (APIG).
Brian Shrowder is a senior communications consultant and national lead of Edelman’s crisis and risk practice in Australia. A former broadcast journalist, Brian provides clients with expert counsel in issues and crisis handling and media relations strategies.
Brian’s experience spans cyber incident responses, media controversies, health and environmental issues, product safety and recalls, terrorism, industrial disputes, financial crises and regulatory issues.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Laws from Adelaide University. He was formerly a business correspondent and network news producer for Ten News.
